On Grizzly Ground
Episode 12: Collars
The Interagency Grizzly Bear Study Team (IGBST) is a collaborative effort between tribes, state agencies and the federal government. The team’s goal is 25 female grizzlies fitted with GPS collars in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem every year so the protected bear’s movements can be tracked as part of the area’s population recovery plan. Sometimes a few males are collared too. Their travel potential can be more than 1,000 miles in one summer. This is On Grizzly Ground Episode 12: Collars.
New episodes from the On Grizzly Ground expedition post every Tuesday through October 2022 in partnership with Tight Line Media, DriveToyota and Vista Outdoor. For more info. go to: www.ongrizzlyground.com
