The rotten leg of a roadkill elk hangs in a large medal crate fitted with a trap door. Grizzlies won’t resist the stink of the meaty meal. When a bear enters the crate and pulls on the bait, the door shuts. It’s trapped until a researcher sedates it and inspects it before sending it on its way with a trackable collar.
